The Detroit Fall Beer Festival is held every year by Michigan Brewers Guild, not only do they put on this event, they sponsor it. The Michigan Brewers Guild is a non-profit corporation. They dedicate their time to increasing the sales of Michigan-brewed beer through marketing, public awareness, promotions, and consumer education. They also spend their time making sure a healthy beer industry is maintained within the state. They hold many beer festivals throughout the year throughout the state of Michigan. However, the most popular festival is the Detroit Fall Beer Festival. The Detroit Beer Festival is held at Eastern Market in Detroit every fourth Saturday and Sunday of October. The festival is a great place to go and try all of those brews you haven't had the chance to try before.
Every year since its opening, the Detroit Fall Beer Festival had sold out of tickets before the event was even here! Tickets for the Detroit Fall Beer Festival go on sale online three months before the event; within that three-month period, the tickets sell out. Every year the festival plans to sell tickets at the gate of the festival, but there are never any left! This festival is a favorite among all Michiganders, which is why the festival is in higher and higher demand every year.
Tickets are priced online at different prices; one ticket comes with some amenities. When making festival plans you will find two kinds of tickets. One is for the people fully enjoying the festival and is valid for several beer tastings. The other option is buying a DD (designated driver) ticket, which will not allow you to drink, not even a single taste. Any person entering on a designated driver ticket will not be permitted to drink, period. Anyone who is caught drinking on a designated driver ticket will be removed and banned from the festival. So, if you think you may want to drink, let someone else in the group go for the designated driver ticket. If there are any tickets left after pre-sale online, they will be for sale at the gate. Additional drink tokens will be available for purchase inside the event. Everyone attending this festival must be 21 and over, with a valid I.D. present.
